Cofio is backed by a management team with significant experience in creating and delivering world class software that gives users a unique, simple and enterprise-effective solution at all levels.

Our CTO and core engineering team, together since the early 90's, provided AT&T Bell Labs with their open systems backup application, OEM'd by NCR for their data warehouse backup needs, and later used by many key enterprise customers, including Yahoo, Los Alamos Labs, NetApp, Chrysler, Sony, and thousands more.

Cofio Founders:

• Tony Cerqueira, CEO - Tony has spent 24 years in technology markets, and over 18 years in data storage solution sales management, spanning markets in Europe, Asia and North America. Tony is the founder and former CEO of BakBone Software Inc., as well as BakBone Software K.K. in Japan.
• Fabrice Helliker, CTO - Fabrice has 15 years of storage engineering experience with a proven track record of creating products from conception to mass volume sales. He was responsible for re-architecting the award winning NetVault 6/7 enterprise class backup software. NetVault's innovation under Fabrice's reign included the first software Virtual Tape Library (VTL) in 1998, the first dynamically shared devices on SAN and NAS, the first SAN auto-configured tape library, and the first backup product available simultaneously on Windows, Unix and Linux. Fab is Cofio's CTO and Product Architect.
• Patrick Barcus, VP Operations - Pat has over 15 years experience in the data storage industry. Having founded Tracer Technologies KK in Japan, an optical storage software vendor, and NetVault KK in Japan (now BakBone Software K.K.), Pat also was the founder of BakBone Software Inc., and directed the establishment of BakBone Software channel partners throughout Asia.
