We created this interface for one simple reason: it represents how people think.

AIMstor's Workflow User Interface (WUI) is a whiteboard that turns ON your data center.

The WUI works on simple principles: You literally Drag/Drop any resource or command into the workspace, to create a policy. Then, you Drag/Drop your AIMstor activated Source machines and Repositories, and click "Activate".

Our goal was to allow IT Managers to mix and match their resources, otgether with their business needs, and AIMstor provides the connection and management glue to get it all done.

Information Lifecycle Management

Policy Consistency is the most serious threat to long term data management, and the ability to match data and policies to their desired lifecycle requirements.

The problem becomes one of multiple applications offering many levels of metadata, with no true owner, or manager of that metadata. Only by the Active Management of Information (AIM), can one cross the chasm of consistent metadata, policy-to-policy consistency, and long term policy and data flow uniformity.

AIMstor cures the hardships that plague policy consistency of data across the enterprise spectrum. AIMstor Data Protection utilizes a Unified Data Repository (UDR). The UDR provides a place where all data can go. No matter the form, be they backup snapshots, CDP, replicated, mirrored, versioned, or archived files or emails.

The efficiency of the UDR is complimented by its inherent intelligence, as the UDR, together with the AIMstor Metadata Store, provides native indexing, search, single instance storage, deduplication, and lifecycle management for all data.

The end result is a solution that cuts across the business dimensions of an organization, allowing it to maintain consistency in all data sets under its control, from the creation of the data, to its final archive.
